Applications for eLINK Project

 

Applications are invited for Scholarship in Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Ph.D. and Post Doctoral Fellowship under European Commission (EC) sponsored eLINK (east-west Link for Innovation, Networking and Knowledge exchange) project.

 

Under the EC sponsored eLINK project Kantipur Engineering College(KEC) is pleased to invite applications for scholarship in Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Ph.D. and  Post Doctoral fellowship from Nepali nationals pursuing Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Ph.D. and  Post Doctoral studies in any reputed public/private universities in Nepal. Under this project Nepali students will get an opportunity to pursue area of their study/research in certain thematic areas in one of the five European universities (visit www.elink-edu.eu and this webpage for details) the maximum period of which will not exceed 10 months. Scholarship will cover monthly subsistence allowance, return airfare, tuition fees and insurance coverage (for details see below). Some positions have been kept reserved for candidates from underprivileged group (candidates with disabilities, candidates from indigenous, tribal, vulnerable communities, and refugee).

Project Details: 

 

Objective: The aim of eLINK project is to foster institutional co-operation in the field of higher education between the European Union and Third-countries through a mobility scheme addressing student and academic exchanges for the purpose of studying, teaching, training and research.

Duration of the Project: 45 months

This Scholarship is targeted to:

·        Students and faculties of Nepali public/private universities.

·        Students and faculties from disadvantaged underprivileged group (candidates with disabilities, candidates from indigenous, tribal, vulnerable communities, and refugee).

 

Eligibility Criteria:

 

      The minimum eligibility criteria set out for each course level is as described below:

 

Level

  Minimum Requirements

Undergraduate

(For Underprivileged Group Only)

·  Currently enrolled in a recognized university of Nepal.

·  2nd ,3rd or 4th Year Student.

·  Current score: 75% or CGPA 3.5 on scale 4.0.

(Preference will be given to students having this score but students with lower score than this may also apply)

·  IELTS/TOEFL scores preferred.

·  Age not exceeding 25 years on the closing date of application.

 

Postgraduate

 

·  Currently enrolled or going to be enrolled in near future in a Masters Degree course in a recognized university of Nepal.

·  Current score: 75% or CGPA 3.5 on scale 4.0.

(Preference will be given to students having this score but students with lower score than this may also apply)

·  IELTS/TOEFL scores highly preferred.

 

Ph.D.

·  Currently enrolled or going to be enrolled in near future in Ph.D. program in a recognized university of Nepal.

·  IELTS/TOEFL scores highly preferred.

 

Post-Doc

·  Ph.D. from a recognized foreign or Nepali university.

·  Minimum five refereed journal/conference publications in last two years.

 

 

Scholarship amount:


Undergraduate: Monthly subsistence allowance 1000 Euro per month, Travel cost 2000 Euro, Tuition fee 3000 Euro and Insurance fee 75 Euro

 

Masters: Monthly subsistence allowance 1000 Euro per month, Travel cost 2000 Euro, Tuition fee 3000 Euro and Insurance fee 75 Euro

 

Doctoral: Monthly subsistence allowance 1500 Euro per month, Travel cost 2000 Euro, Tuition fee 3000 Euro and Insurance fee 75 Euro

 

Post Doctoral: Monthly subsistence allowance 1800 Euro per month, Travel cost 2000 Euro, Tuition fee 3000/5000 Euro and Insurance fee 75 Euro
