Meeting and Guest Lectures

A team of researchers from Italy led by Professor Pasquale Daponte, University of Sannio visited Kantipur Engineering College on 4 January 2012. The team comprised of Professor Pasquale Daponte (University of Sannio), Professor Sergio Rapuano (University of Sannio), Doris Bao (University of Sannio), Franchesco Lamonaca ( University of Calabria).

A meeting was held with Er. Rameshwar Rijal, Principal of Kantipur Engineering College. Various issues related to academic collaboration and cooperation were discussed in a cordial environment. Prof. Dr. Shanti Nath Shrestha, Academic Coordinator and Er. Sachin Sharma Bhandari, Vice Principal were also present in the meeting.

It was followed by a series of guest lecture presentations for the final year students of Department of Computer and Electronics Engineering. They were as follows:

1.      “Software Defined Radio and Cognitive Radio” by Doris Bao

2.      “Non Invasive Structural Health Monitoring By Using Acoustic Emission” by Francesco Lamonaca

Afterwards, a meeting was held in the Department of Computer and Electronics Engineering to discuss the possible participation in various activities of IMEKO (www.imeko.org) in future.

The visit of Italian guests was facilitated by Mr. Khem Narayan Poudyal, Asssociate Professor, Pulchowk Campus (IOE), Er. Rabindra Khati, Kantipur Engineering College and Er. Ravi Chandra Koirala Kantipur Engineering College.
