World No Tobacco Day

A training program was organized jointly by Kantipur Engineering College and Nepal Cancer Support Group to observe the World No Tobacco Day on 2069/02/18.The program aimed in increasing awareness among the students about tobacco borne diseases and their fatal consequences. Er. Rameshwar Rijal, Principal of Kantipur Engineering College chaired the program. Dr. Tara Prasad Pokhrel, Chairman of Acme Engineering College was the Chief Guest of the program. Miss Nishu Maharjan, student of third year Computer Engineering delivered a welcome speech. Principal trainer, Dr. Bijesh Raj Ghimire, Om Hospital delivered a core training program on tobacco and its ill effects on public health. Er. Rameshwar Rijal concluded the program by highlighting the benefits of such program for the students. Chief Guest, Dr. Tara Prasad Pokhrel distributed mementos to Er. Rameshwar Rijal,Dr. Bijesh Raj Ghimire and Miss Nishu Maharjan.

Teachers, students and staff actively participated in the program.
