Admission

Admission for Bachelor's Program in Engineering under TU, normally opens in the month of August. Students willing to join KEC must pass the entrance examination conducted by Institute of Engineering (IOE). IOE conducts entrance test in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English and Basic Concept of Drawing. All questions are of objectives type and the time duration of the test is 3 hours in one seating. Students with I.Sc. (Physical group or Biological group with Extra Maths) or 10+2 in Science (Physical group or Biological group with Extra Maths) or Diploma in Engineering and scoring at least 45% in respective examinations are eligible to apply for the entrance test conducted by Institute of Engineering (IOE), Pulchowk.

KEC selects students according to the merit list in entrance test conducted by IOE. International students do not have to appear in entrance tests. Special entrance committee selects them for admission.
