The
international conference on Software, Knowledge,
Information Management and Applications (SKIMA)
2006 was hosted by the College of Arts, Media and
Technology (CAMT), Chiang Mai University in
Thailand, to provide a platform to support
fast development of in the area of Information and
Communication Technology (ICT).
The theme of
the conference focused on the management of
Software, Knowledge and Information in a broad
range of applications. These areas have recently
emerged as hot topics with great academic
interests and commercial applications.
SKIMA 2006 proceedings were divided into
eight sections and they were organized by
conference theme, application type or areas and
consisted of refereed scientific papers. Each
paper was reviewed by at least two members of the
International Program and conference organizing
committees.
The eight
sections were – Product Life Cycle and Supply
Chain Applications; Knowledge Management; Software
Development and Testing; Information System;
Security and Risk Assessment Applications; Fuzzy
Logic Applications; Data Mining Applications and
Modern-heuristic for Optimization Applications and
altogether 31 research papers were selected and
published.
